Wisdom Teeth - Impacted lower wisdom teeth and alveolar bone grafting

Wisdom teeth cause particular problems to the periodontal health of the forward second molars. Where bone loss would become obvious from removal of a wisdom tooth, alveolar bone grafting offers a reliable and simple method of regaining lost distal jaw bone to lower second molar teeth.

Implants - Maxillary Central Incisor Implants

Implants - Dental Implants and Full Lower Reconstruction

When all teeth in an arch are lost (a total of 16 teeth) full dentures have been the traditional means of replacing the ability to chew and smile. With the bone loss that occurs with missing teeth, the lower denture in particular becomes loose and uncomfortable. Whilst serving very well as an aesthetic appliance, the full lower denture has poor retention and is very poorly tolerated for eating. With age, patients often revert to full puree diets or will not use their dentures at all for chewing.

Implants - Maxillary Premolars and Sinus Lift Grafts

Wisdom teeth are a source of many and varied types of pathology, and has a high incidence of complications associated with poor surgical care. Retention of impacted wisdom teeth in rugby players is associated with abnormally higher risk of fractured jaws. Prophylactic wisdom teeth removal is advocated by many surgical practitioners, and increasingly also for the preventative care of contact sports players.
