Many people present for surgery fearful of the pain and anxiety surgical treatment may bring.

Surgery shuold not only be painless, but anxiety free. At Ocean Surgical, our surgeons will normally offer three options for anaesthesia.

For uninsured patients, procedures in our rooms are usually cheapest, whereas for those who have full hospital insurance, private hospital treatment becomes very affordable.

Not all patients can have all three options for anaesthesia provided for. You must rely upon the advice of your surgeon to guide you in the final decision analysis as to what is most appropriate for you.

• Local anaesthesia in our rooms
• Local anaesthesia with Intravenous (IV) sedation in our rooms
• General anaesthesia procedures at a private hospital

Not all of these options will be offered to every one.  It will depend on your medical and dental history as well as the complexity of the proposed surgery, to define an appropriate treatment recommendation for you.
