Dr Robert Bartolacci graduated from the University of Sydney (MB BS Honours) in 1986.   Completing intern studies at Royal Newcastle Hospital, he progressed to specialist Anæsthesiology training, with graduation as a specialist anæsthetist in 1997 with Fellowship of the Australian & New Zealand College of Anæsthetists (FANZCA). Robert completed post Fellowship training at the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor, USA.

Currently Robert works part-time with NRMA CareFlight as a retrieval specialist, and with John Hunter Hospital as Visiting Medical Officer (Specialist Anæsthetist).

Robert also has specialist VMO status with all regional private hospitals, with his major appointments held through Toronto Private, Warners Bay Private and Newcastle Private Hospitals.

Specialist general anæsthesia has many different styles, and anæsthetic drugs & techniques vary according to the type of surgery performed. Working with maxillofacial surgeons for many years creates an operative environment that maximally enhances the hospital experience for the patient, and maximally reduces the chance of anæsthetic complications.

Dr Bartolacci has many years of experience with performing maxillofacial specific general anæsthesia for oral & maxillofacial patients, and has been working with Ocean surgical continually for four years, providing a weekly operating list.
