This 32 year old lady had darkening upper front teeth, and deteriorating gums in the lower jaw. Coming from the country, she required overall definitive care that maximised the efficiency of a 4 hour one-way drive.
Some years ago the central incisors had been knocked, and root canal therapy was not successful at preventing the development of peri-apical abscesses developing. The front teeth were also darkening.
To complicate matters, her lower gums were also deteriorating, and needed definitive correction... Before she was going to lose those teeth also.

Her treatment options back home were to remove her two upper front teeth, and all her lower teeth, and to wear dentures for the rest of her life.
Her specialist maxillofacial surgeon suggested a different option.
Whilst he agreed that the upper teeth required removal, he suggested dental implants instead instead of dentures.
He also proposed a treatment plan to coordinate care between a new dentist and himself in rectifying her lower gum problem.
The two front teeth were removed and replaced with implants, with zirconia based porcelain used to construct the crowns. |

The dentist also cleaned the lower teeth, with the surgeon placing a mucosal graft across the exposed lower roots. After about 3 months of care, the end result was...
