Angela is the Practice Surgical Coordinator at Ocean Surgical, and provides health management expertise to the company enabling staff and centre interplay across a range of surgical services. Trained in New Zealand, Angela has extensive knowledge and training in all facets of science and general dentistry. Angela maintains active dental registration with the NSW Dental Board, and is a practicing dental surgeon with Hunter New England Health.

Angela has a profound depth of knowledge of the dental profession. Her unique working experience of public health dentistry, in combination with a wide understanding of Medicare and public health funding allows Angela unparalleled expertise in O&M surgical patient management. The complex intermix of hospital coordination, materiél supply, and insurance and Medicare funds knowledge makes Angela an especially valuable employee with Ocean Surgical.

Born in Hamilton, New Zealand, Angela first trained in Biology & Science at Waikato University before entering the Faculty of Dentistry at Otago University where she graduated as a Dental Surgeon in 1994. Moving to Newcastle in 2000, she has been employed with the dental departments of Royal Newcastle and Wallsend Hospitals for the past 6 years practicing hospital dentistry.

In addition to her management role, Angela offers intrinsic insight and free general dental advice to patients enabling them to coordinate their specialist surgical care with the treatment plan offered by the client’s own general dental practitioner.
